Consumer-centric decarbonization framework using Stackelberg game and Blockchain

Energy policy is too often not designed for energy consumers in a low-cost and consumer-friendly manner. This paper proposes novel Stackelberg game Blockchain-based framework that enables consumer-centric decarbonization by automating iterative negotiations between makers or generators to reduce carbon emissions. negotiation modeled as game-theoretic problem, securely facilitated Blockchain technologies. The maker formulates prices monetary compensation rates dynamically incentivize the reduction, whereas schedule their power profiles minimize bills maximize profits of generation, respectively. negotiating agreement yielded reaching equilibrium. exchanged information controlling functions are realized using smart contracts Case studies GB systems show proposed can 9% more bill savings 45.13% generation from renewable sources. As framework, it at least emissions 40%.
